A leaner style of Merlot, yet still delivering a classic Merlot nose and taste. Dark fruits - black cherries, black raspberries, and blueberries - settle on the tongue, while hints of cedar fading into a subtle dryness.
Barrel aged 10 months: 45% new French Oak, 55% neutral French Oak.
Primary fermentation in stainless steel, secondary fermentation in oak.

2018 was warm and wet. It was one of the warmest of the previous 14 seasons with precipitation well above average for most of the season. A warm season combined with cropping levels that were just a bit low resulted in excellent ripening of the fruit in terms of good sugar development and pronounced flavors.
