		Production Notes
Baco Noir is an early ripening variety and this particular vineyard is almost always the first to be picked each season. Planted at Pleasant Hill near Suttons Bay, Michigan, in 1976, it is one of the oldest wine grape vineyards in our region. The trellises are "old-school," created by the imagination and ingenuity of the farmers who planted it. Due to these trellises, the mechanical harvester is not able to separate the fruit from the vine. As such, it is always hand-picked, producing one of our most unique and coveted wines.

It rivals my all time favorite...Marquette. Tasted May 2021 and purchased a bottle at that time. Just opened it and is delicious. Keep making it!

I first tried this wine a decade ago on vacation with my family, it was an instant favorite and has been something I seek out again and again. I hope it sticks around! Also, bring back the Baco Noir Rose, it was superb!
